What’s a holiday must for the home?
Number one holiday must: Lots of FRESH evergreens, boxwood, and flowers like tulips, amaryllis, and paper whites, scented pine cones burning in the fireplace, and intoxicating candles flickering in the evening light!

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift a loved one, what would it be?
If I could possibly give my mother a dream gift…it would be this set of gold-plated chargers. I grew up with my mother creating the most gloriously creative and beautiful table settings…and these would be off-the-charts with her antique china and amazing crystal collections!

What’s your favorite color scheme?
For the holidays, I love silver and gold, and depending upon the room/home décor, either pink or red or green. I think that holiday décor is NOT limited to “traditional” colors…it should work with the aesthetic of the spaces and home, so that things flow and the joyful spirit of the holidays meshes visually with everything else in the spaces. The point is to celebrate…so in my mind, this means having everything flow to create the most gorgeous visual symphony imaginable!

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift yourself, what would it be?
I am so in love with entertaining and setting a beautiful table, I would LOVELOVELOVELOVE to have these dining room chairs…they would be such a perfect complement to my black lacquer Jansen table and gilt light fixture! The perfect way to kick off any table setting fun!

What’s a holiday must for the home?
I go overboard with woodsy greenery for the holidays to make up for the fact that we don’t get snow. I love picking an enormous tree, and have absolutely fallen in love with the garlands that you can find here made with pine and eucalyptus. It’s such a beautiful marriage of Montana (where I grew up) and California.

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift a loved one, what would it be?
It would be these Vintage Brass Elephant Bookends

What’s your favorite color scheme?
Red with pink and orange – holiday but not cliché.

What’s a holiday must for the home?
Besides having my four boys at home, my holiday must is to have a fire every day, which my husband is happy to oblige me with. The scent of a roaring fire wafting throughout the house brings back so many wonderful memories and just makes it feel like the holidays.

My other holiday must is magnolia branch arrangements and wreaths, partially because I’m from the south, but mostly because I find the foliage so beautiful and timelessly chic.

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift a loved one, what would it be?
This Vintage 1970s Gentleman’s Marble And Brass Valet Stand

What’s your favorite color scheme?
I don’t do a lot of red at Christmas; I prefer an all shades of green scheme. Besides magnolia and assorted pine branches, I will mix in some white flowers or accessories and, depending on my mood that year, a touch of gold or silver for some sparkle.

What’s a holiday must for the home?
I really like brown paper packages tied up with string – simple and understated. I also love gifts humbly covered, then elevated with dark green velvet ribbon or classic tartan bows and finished with fresh holly.

We’re celebrating an expectant project manager at foley&cox, and love the idea of giving this posh, Haring-inspired rocker as a baby’s first “pre-Christmas” gift!

What’s your favorite color scheme?
Silver, matte white, and clear – baskets overflowing with ornaments in these colors create a quiet foundation for barks of pine flanked by poinsettias, paper whites, amaryllis, or other florals brought by guests.

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift yourself, what would it be?
This bold, graphic depiction of the feminine flower suggests the perfect balance of Yin and Yang, and I’d be thrilled to receive such an insightful, thoughtful, and generous gift.

What’s a holiday must for the home?
“Heart” comes first and foremost to mind. Layer it with love, and what is holiday décor but a labor of love? We decorate our homes for the holidays for just that very reason – to show those we love that home, family, and friendship are truly the most important parts of the season.

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift a loved one, what would it be?
I love these candlesticks from JF Chen. They are so beautifully sculptural and elegant. Also, having visited the store in L.A. on many occasions, I always find so many fabulous pieces from there!

What’s your favorite color scheme?
I really don’t have a favorite, per se, but I do find as with almost everything that I keep it simple. I gravitate toward the two-color format. Gold and white was last year’s scheme for the city, but chocolate and white – with fresh greenery – was what I used for our house in South Carolina. For this year’s palette, I will start thinking about it the day after Thanksgiving, as I really dislike Christmas coming before the turkey has been served. I do, however, love the scent of fresh spruce and always bring in greenery. It’s a mess by December 30, but oh so worth it!

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift yourself, what would it be?
I am always looking for something I can’t find and it’s been a very long time since I’ve seen one of these vintage African reed and leather floor mats. They have become exceptionally difficult to find, so, Merry Christmas to me!

Fresh greenery (I’m partial to magnolia and boxwood) and an awesome pine/fir-scented candle. A little Christmas music doesn’t hurt either.

What’s a holiday must for the home?
Certain scents evoke special memories and are integral in creating a signature experience in one’s home. As such, I am constantly burning candles in my home. A couple of favorites at the holidays are Lafco’s Crimson Berry and Feu de Bois scents.

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift a loved one, what would it be?
I would give them a framed painting by Kayce Hughes. I have several of her paintings in my home, and they look just as chic hanging on the wall as they do leaning on a bookshelf.

What’s your favorite color scheme?
I love so many colors, but I personally like to live with a mostly neutral palette featuring a couple of great accent colors. My home is currently composed of mostly white, black, and a few touches of pink and moss green.

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift yourself, what would it be?
Both my husband Fabian and I are obsessed with lighting. This 1930s Andre Fau Gold Leaf Porcelain Lamp would be a fabulous addition to our home, and would be even better with a custom lampshade!

What’s a holiday must for the home?
I don’t really decorate seasonally, but I’m down with any candle that smells like the woods. I’m from New Hampshire, so anything pine-y reminds me of home.

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift a loved one, what would it be?
Any of the prints by my favorite Pacific Northwest photographer, Paul Edmondson, would be an awesome gift.

What’s your favorite color scheme?
I love army green, red, and off-white. You can’t go wrong with Gucci colors.

If you had to pick one Viyet item to gift yourself, what would it be?
’Tis the season to buy yourself a mid-century papa bear chair.
