Color Of The Month: Pastels That Pop

Pastel hues are almost synonymous with springtime. But, there’s another reason we’re shifting the focus to these soft colors: Pink has become the trendiest color of 2017 so far. (Just look at the recent headlines over the candy-like shade of “Millennial” pink.) It pairs beautifully with the other muted shades of the season, so we’re taking a moment to appreciate this range with our favorite pieces here at Viyet:

Directional 1960s Lavender Suede Swivel Chairs

Why we love them: Suede upholstery in whisper-soft purple softens the modern silhouette of these accent chairs. They make a striking pair in a living room seating grouping or in an office.

Kravet Mist Lusuosso Cashmere Throw

Why we love it: Luxurious cashmere is always in style — even more so in an on-trend pastel hue. Use this extra soft throw to instantly update a sofa or accent chair.

Stark Carpet Rose New Oriental Indo Tibetan Rug 9′ x 12′

Why we love it: Instead of going with a traditional neutral, opt for this muted pink. Its warm undertones allow this particular shade of pink to work with a range of hues.

Mikasa Pale Green Vase

Why we love it: Pastel green makes this sculptural vase gorgeous on its own, but also brings out the beauty of any bouquet.

Two Worlds Arts Chinese Chippendale-Style Tole Lantern

Why we love it: A fresh shade of light blue calls attention to the crisp lines of the Chippendale-style design. It’s a noticeable accent piece that doesn’t distract.

Christophe Delcourt Velvet Wide Arm Love Seat

Why we love it: Like the suede swivel chairs above, this love seat has a clean shape that reads modern. Yet, the soft velvet in a sophisticated green hue softens the look, allowing it to work in a wide variety of décor schemes.

Custom Pink Crescent Tufted Sofa

Why we love it: The low back creates an unexpected silhouette in this petal-pink sofa. Incorporate it in a bedroom as an accent, or as elegant seating in a living room.
