For design lovers, a restaurant visit can be less about the food than it is about seeing the architecture and interior décor scheme. This is especially true in New York City, where well-designed restaurants nearly outnumber boutiques and shops. There’s inspiration on every block — but today, we’re focusing on three favorites of our team: BBar, L’Amico, and Singl Lounge at Hyatt.
Indoors meets outdoors at BBar, which has been a Bowery neighborhood hotspot since its opening in the ’90s. Whether you’re seated at the patio or at the bar, the eclectic mix of bistro-inspired furniture and garden accents give an open-air feel to the space.

Located in the Eventi Hotel, the rustic-meets-modern design complements the Italian-meets-American menu. Warm woods, classic forms, and the occasional surprising feature (like a pristine vintage pendant or a contemporary table) make a memorable setting for a fabulous dinner.

With its very accessible location just off of Union Square, Singl Lounge is a convenient place to grab a drink with friends. It’s also chic, thanks to the thoughtfully designed interior that features a mix of contemporary furniture and accessories. We particularly love the conversational groupings that offer a cozier alternative to typical bar seating.
