Inspired By London Fashion Week | Black And White Perfection

As seen in London’s spring shows, black and white is a trend that never goes out of style. Perfecting this timeless combination are fashion designer Holly Fulton and interior designer Megan Winters. Both created incredible visions that leave us wanting more black and white.  PicMonkey Collage1.jpg

London-based designer Holly Fulton wowed the fashion crowd this year with her stunning collection, which featured a range of patterns and motifs all in the same black-and-white colorway. Her contrasting designs caught our eye, and we especially loved the whimsical patterns and details.

Similarly, Chicago-based interior designer Megan Winters is not afraid to rely solely on black and white when envisioning living spaces. Her focus on palette is key in creating her always-elegant interiors, which are instantly recognizable for their feeling of glamour and luxury. Here, crisp white walls and a deep black area rug create a bold backdrop for a dramatic dining area.

Though such contrast often feels stark, it’s not the case in this space. It’s all thanks to the intimate furniture grouping, which has an inviting feeling of coziness (in the most chic way, of course). The comfortable chairs are upholstered in a graphic black-and-white print, which riff on the abstract art on the wall. Above, a branch-shaped chandelier brings an element of nature that is entirely unexpected, but also helps to soften the defined lines present in the space. The console table on the side of the room was made of Lucite, which doesn’t distract from the gorgeous decor while also providing a space to display art.
